It is located in a nice house with air condition at Avenida Primera and Calle 32 , it is the only bookstore at Varadero, it sells books, music cassettes and magazines, payments are made in national currency. 

The bookstore’s schedule is from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., also Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 m.

More than 600 titles are offered here incluing outstanding writers such as Alejo Carpentier – Cervantes Prize  –, José Saramago – Nobel Literature Prize – also classic works from the Spanish literature among which we have Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Amado Nervo, Jorge Amado, Jorge Luis Borges and Volodia Teitelboin, several volumes are found in our institution dealing with the above mentioned authors where you will also find a nice treatment and the guidance you need to please your interests and expectations within the literary field.

Nearly fifty titles from Matanzas province writers are found here as well, we may offer books written by National Literary Prizess, Social Sciences Prize, and the Critics Prize, among other prestigious intellectuals of the Cuban Culture and from other regions as well.

A special offer at the library is based on rare and of use books including texts in other languages (English, French, German, and Italian) and that is more attractive for the tourist guides, representatives and other workers fulfilling different tasks such as giving service to foreigners travelling to the country.
