Caves
The Bellamar Cave
These caves are located in the surroundings of Matanzas, and is on of the wonders os Cuban geography. It was discovered in 1861, and is considered the island's oldest tourist attraction of its kind. This cave is famous for its carsick crystals, stalactites and stalagmites formations in these nifty limestone caves.
the caves has more than 28 cavities, and trasure large mural paintings, many fossils, and evidences of communities than lived in the area some 1 600 years ago.
Calero Funeral Cave
An aborigine cemetery was found with 66 burials, this is considered as the biggest finding of its kind in Cuba. Remains from the oldest man of the island were found here with some eight thousand years of age and a skull with European traces. Varadero.
