The Museum of the City is a beautiful house made of wood, The Casa Abreu Village (1921). Here you may see the hicacos fruit from the famous tree giving the name to the whole peninsula.

The Municipal Museum at Avenida Playa, Calle 57 was inaugurated on December 5th, 1981, in a typycal big house built in 1919, it belongs to the plantation style and it has two stories and it is fully built with wood with walls placed with a mixture of plaster and cement gifting it with special termal characteristics.

Its location is found at the highest part of the dune, thus an extraordinary sight can be seen towards the two shore sides. The Museum’s fund acquired by means of the methodical collection ease a varied offer of the Month Samples and transitory exhibitions as well. The museum offers services by means of a previous consultation of visits meant for clients, tourist companies and spontaneous tourists.
